The Huron branch of Victim Services was started in April of 2004. We currently provide support to all of the County which is 3,400 Km2 with a population of 59, 297 people. We also ensure the neighbouring communities are connected to their local Victim Services if they are deemed out of our area. All calls are supported and referrals that best fit the need of the client is made.
We provide non-judgmental and confidential emotional support and practical assistance to survivors of crime or tragic circumstances. Supports are offered 24/7, 365 days/year
We are a trained volunteer based organization that works in partnership with first responders to provide crisis intervention to people in need. Our volunteers come with a diverse background of experiences and are highly trained to ensure the high quality of services offered. Our volunteers and staff are compassionate and empathetic individuals that devote their time to making someone’s time of trauma more manageable.
